I have always been really passionate about the student voice and giving back to my community. Throughout high school, I was heavily involved in my school’s student government association. I also participated in my hometown’s county level student government, which inspired me to run for my county’s Student Member of the Board of Education (SMOB) position. Having been elected by the 55,000 middle and high school students of the county, I had the opportunity to serve on the Board of Education my senior year of high school. Additionally, I was also heavily involved in volunteering with Special Olympics in the Aquatics Program. These are two of the activities that I wrote my college application essays about. While reading your college essays, I want to help you illuminate your voice within the essay in order to tell a compelling story.
